I want Digital Keepsakes to produce my wedding video. How do I reserve my date?
It’s easy. Just complete a copy of our Wedding Video Agreement and return it to us along with a $300 deposit. Our mailing address is on the form. If we’ve had a chance to meet in person, a copy of the Agreement is in the packet you received at that time. We’ll be happy to email you a copy on request.
Do you accept major credit cards?
Yes, we accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover cards.
What kind of footage do you capture during the course of my Wedding Day?
For the Standard and Signature Packages, we begin the day by capturing the bride’s preparations, including hair, makeup, and getting dressed. We’ll usually get shots of the guys at the ceremony venue. For the Basic Package, we begin our coverage at the ceremony location.
We’ll get establishing shots at the ceremony, including arrival and seating of guests. We’ll cover the ceremony in its entirety, from the entrance of the mothers through the recessional.
We’ll accompany you to your photo shoot to capture that experience and to get romantic shots that we’ll use for highlights segments and the Feature Film, if applicable. We’ll also cover the cocktail hour and get establishing shots of the table settings and cake.
For the Basic Package, we’ll cover all reception events that you’ve scheduled to take place before dinner is served. For the Standard and Signature Packages, all reception events are covered in their entirety: introductions, speeches and toasts, first dance, parent dances, cake cutting, and bouquet and garter toss. We’ll also cover optional events like the anniversary dance and the bridal (dollar) dance.
We’ll capture scenes of your guests dancing and having fun at your reception, but we won’t necessarily cover every dance in it entirety. We’ll honor any special requests for coverage that you have.
Once all the events have been covered, then generally speaking our coverage is finished for the evening, unless you have a special departure planned. We can also stage a departure before we leave to use to wrap up your video.
Can we tell you what songs to use in the video?
Because of copyright regulations, we must pay license fees for the music we use in our videos. Our sources of royalty-free music have a selection of music that’s designed for use in wedding videos, so the selection is pretty broad. You can tell us what genre you prefer (rock, pop, country, etc.) and we’ll find suitable music.
Some popular wedding songs, such as Ben Rector’s “White Dress,” are actually available, so if you’ve heard a song in another video that you like, let us know and we’ll see if it’s available.
How long will it take to get the final video?
We quote ten to twelve weeks from the wedding date. There’s a lot of work that goes into editing a wedding video, and we make sure it’s right before we send it out.
