“One Day on Earth” to Debut in April

“One Day on Earth,” the global film shot on one day – 10.10.10 – will premiere on Earth Day, April 22, 2012 in every country of the world. Over 16,000 filmmakers submitted about 3,000 hours of footage to the project team.

Digital Keepsakes shot Brian and Nativa’s Wedding Video at PNC Park that day, and I’m proud to say that it was chosen for the final film. While we expect to see only a clip or two of the wedding in the final feature, we’re happy that our work was selected to depict one very happy occasion that occurred in Pittsburgh that day.

Here’s the trailer for the film:

We’re excited to be part of this great project and thank Brian and Nativa for being willing participants.

“All the Sights and Sounds”

While meeting with one of my client couples before their July 2011 wedding, I asked what they wanted me to be sure to capture in their wedding film. The groom-to-be quickly answered: “All the sights and sounds.”

Thinking about it, I realized that’s what we do best. We make sure we capture every important moment of the Wedding Day, from the bride’s preparations, to the processional and vows, to all the reception events – captured in their entirety. After all, how else would the bride see her bridesmaids walking down the aisle? How else could the couple re-live the vows, see their first dance or the parent dances?

When we capture all the sights and sounds, we look for those special moments that will make your wedding film unique: when you steal a kiss during the photo shoot; the tear in Dad’s eye during the father-daughter dance; your close friends partying with you at the reception.

Capturing the sound is a very important part of what we do. We use multiple wireless microphones during the ceremony to capture the words of the officiant and the readers, and to especially capture your vows clearly.

You can see highlights of our recent weddings on the Gallery page of our website at www.digitalkeepsakesvideo.com/gallery. If you’d like to have a DVD of one of our complete wedding films, just send me an email and I’ll get one out to you right away.

Alex and Leo – Wedding Highlights

It’s hard to find words to describe Alex and Leo’s wedding. A beautiful couple, superb venue, and gorgeous day all combined to make for an outstanding wedding celebration. Alex and Leo were married on July 30, 2011, in the chapel at Mount Aloysius College in Cresson, PA, and their reception was at Leo’s grandparents’ farm, Klein Immergrun, in Loretto. After shooting the lovely and moving ceremony, we used our GoPro camera to get great candid shots of the couple as they drove from Cresson to Loretto in a Rolls Royce convertible.

Saint Francis University catered the marvelous dinner, and the band Black Tie provided the dance music. Anita Buzzy Prentiss of Buzzy Photography immortalized the day with her splendid photos.

It’s a wedding we’ll long remember.

Jenny and Bryan’s Wedding Highlights

Jenny and Bryan were married at the Duquesne Club in Downtown Pittsburgh on June 18, 2011. The elegant ceremony was complemented by the harp music of Suzanne Hershey. While the guests enjoyed cocktails, the couple had their photos taken in the Parlour and on the rooftop terrace by Anita Buzzy Prentiss of Buzzy Photo. Afterwards, the couple and guests danced to the music of Velveeta. Rich Fishkin was my assistant for the wedding, and got some great video shots.

You Really Should Have a Wedding Video

Many brides decide that they only need still photos to document their wedding, and don’t bother to go for a video. Oftentimes they regret it, because their stills don’t really allow them to re-live the day to its fullest.

Let me use the recent Royal Wedding as an example. Still photos – both formals and candids from the ceremony – have been shown on TV news, online, and in newspapers, and they’re beautiful. But a host of TV networks – CNN, Fox, TLC, and others – have re-run video highlights over and over again, and the public hasn’t tired of watching them! Why? Because video allows you to BE THERE, to experience the excitement, the majesty, and the romance over and over again: to hear the music, to see the processional, to hear the vows.

It’s the same with your wedding. Your wedding video will allow you to experience your wedding day as often as you wish: now, on your first anniversary, your 25th, whenever. And it will allow your children, and even your grandchildren, to be present on your wedding day.

Digital Keepsakes creates wedding videos that are worthy of a prince and princess. Well, we don’t exactly have 60 cameras to devote to the occasion, but we can use as many as six if you’d like. And our audio will pick up every word of the vows and every note of the choir flawlessly. We can even put a camera inside your carriage as you travel from the ceremony to the reception.

For a romantic, memorable wedding video, call Digital Keepsakes.

Chrissy and Jeff’s Wedding Highlights

Chrissy and Jeff were married at Harbison Chapel at Grove City College, and their reception was held at Shakespeare’s Restaurant and Pub in Ellwood City, PA. We covered their ceremony with three cameras to catch the solemnity of the wedding service, and used two cameras to cover the photo shoot and reception. This is the highlights segment of their wedding video.
